Cinnamon Roll Cookies•Healthier Version!

Great for breakfast or anytime, these healthy alternative cookies are packed with a cinnamon spice and topped with a sweet icing. It’s the perfect sweet treat or after school snack!

Ingredients:
1 ½ cup quick oats
¾ cup white whole wheat flour
2 tbsp oil
¼ cup butter
1 egg
½ tbsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
½ cup pure maple syrup
½ tsp sea salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the icing:
½ cup powdered sugar
2 tsp whole milk
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a bowl, whisk an egg then add vanilla, maple syrup and oil.
In another bowl, mix oats, flour, salt, baking powder and cinnamon.
Add wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix to combine.
Spoon onto a parchment lined baking sheet pressing them into a cookie shape (they don’t spread). Bake for 8 minutes (don’t over bake).
Let them sit for 2 minutes then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
Allow to cool for 10-15 min
Mix icing ingredients and drizzle on the cookies.
Keep them in an airtight container.
